Hong Kong was a British colony for many years. No surprise, hiking trails have been established here over the decades. And the Chinese themselves do enjoy walking, so the tradition lives on. Good news for us! Most trails are rather short, but sometimes you can string several together to enjoy a real multi-day hiking holiday, staying overnight in temples and local villages. A good place to do this is the island of Lantau. But the mainland areas offer good hiking opportunities as well.
So, unpack at the airport, jump on the Star Ferry, and take a few days hike to relax halfway your business trip. |
