Jakobsweg im Elsass, Speyer (D) - Wissembourg (F) - Couthenans, 370 km, 15 days
The Jakobsweg im Elsass is a pilgrim way to Santiago de Compostela. The start is in the German region Pfalz. Soon, the path enters the Alsace region in France. It follows the foothills of the Vosges and Alsace mountains, bordering the valley of the Rhine. One visits old cities and towns like Wissembourg, Strassbourg and Colmar.
In Couthenans, this Way of St. Jacob ends. From here, pilgrims can continue to Le Puy-en-Velay on the Jakobsweg Breisach - Cluny, or (longer) Vézelay, and take the main pilgrim ways heading for the Pyrenees.
