SP10, Maas-Niederrheinpad (Before: Maas-Swalm-Nettepad and Maasduinen-Nierspad), Circular walk south of Venlo, starting from Venlo, 218 km

This regional trail (Streekpad) is a combination of two previous regional paths of the Stichting Wandelnet. The new path is an improvement. It passes through the border of Netherlands and Germany, an empty area with vast forests and nature reserves. That's exactly the main interest of this path: peace and nature.

The trail follows some small and larger rivers: The Swalm, the Nette, the Meuse. Along the Meuse dunes have been formed in the past: the Maasduinen, a beautiful nature reserve. On the German side of the border, hills overlook the whole. In recent years, many natural areas have been restored, resulting in a reclamation of nature over cultivated land, and a wealth of rare plants and birds.
