If you are looking for a hike that combines mountains, fjords and sea, Nordmøre might be an option for you. This area is near the city of Trondheim, south of it, bordering on the mountains of Trollheimen.
Even if elevations here are less than elsewhere in the country, the mountains still look impressive, since they rise up from sea level.
Two multiple day tours can be made, both starting in the little village of Vinjeøra, and both running west into a peninsula. The routes are well serviced by self-service huts, and the trails in between them are not too strenuous as elsewhere on the west coast.
