If you want to see some spectacular fjord scenery, Sunnmøre is the place to go. You can find the Sunnmøre area west of Rondane and north of Jotunheimen. Among the fjords, Hjørundfjord and Geirangerfjord are the wildest.

The heart of Sunnmøre consists of several high peaks that are worth climbing. The most popular ones are Slogjen (1559 m) and Kolåstind (1463). Bear in mind that these peaks rise out from sealevel. These and other peaks can be climbed by ordinary hikers. But you will see specialised climbers out there as well, since the old rock surface provides excellent climbing opportunities.

This is not a region of long distance hikes. Take the huts Patchellhytta or Velleseter (among others) as your base camp, and make hikes from there.
