River Ayr Way, Glenbuck - Ayr, 65 km, 38 miles, 3 days
River Ayr is a friendly little river south of Glasgow, slowly finding its way with wide meanders from Glenbuck Loch to the Firth of Clyde. Its banks are mostly wooded and flanked by farmland. The River Ayr Way follows its course from the Loch to the town of Ayr.

- Positive Nice short interesting trail through a once industrial landscape. Has a remote start and is a very quiet trail. Superb infrastructure and some superb little sections through Ayr Gorge and Auchincruive.
- Negative Can suffer closures in places due to the erosion of very sandy riverbanks.
