Positive We walked from Bou Taghrar to Agouti, through the Gorges Achabou, and climbed the Mount Mgoun. Spectacular. Very pretty villages. Simple farming communities and semi-nomadic shepherds. Hiring a mule with muleteer on the spot was very easy. We did not join a travel agency. The local Berbers are inviting. Guesthouses in every village.
Negative Be prepared for very simple accommodation and basic facilities. Locals rarely speak French or English. You'll manage anyway.
