Tohoku
Description
東北
This is the northern part of main Honshu island, north of Tokyo. Less frequented, but just as fine as the Japanese Alps region, with all kinds of volcanic activity, including popular Mt. Chokai (the “best” mountain).
The Tohoku (or North East) Nature Trail offers many day-hikes, strung toghether.
