Ballyhoura Way, Lismire / St. John's Bridge - Limerick Junction, 89 km, 4 days
The Ballyhoura Way runs southwest - northeast, crossing counties Cork, Limerick and Tipperary. The name of this trail is derived from the Ballyhoura Mountains, actually a moderately pronounced hill area, largely forested. Most of the time you will enjoy the green farming land of the Shannon Region, middle west Ireland. The path is easy, following small roads, forest tracks and some open moorland and field paths.
The Ballyhoura Way is included in the Beara Breifne Way, in between the North Cork Way and the Multeen Way.
