The ambitious National Hiking Trail of Canada – hiking only - may take years to complete. Currently, it looks as if the development came to a standstill. The proposed 10.000 km are far from being prepared on the drawing board, let alone existent in the terrain. Parts are ready, especially in British Columbia, Ontario, Quebec and New Brunswick. Information is rather basic.
