Elfbekenpad

Elfbekenpad, circular trail, starting and ending in Vaassen, 62 km (84 including two connections)

The Elfbekenpad is the "path of the eleven streams". The path runs along the western edge of the Hoge Veluwe, the vast and beautiful woodland in the middle of the Netherlands. The path is named after the many artificial streams, dug in the past to transport the clear water of springs to the villages in the valleys for the manufacture of paper and also for laundries. The paper industry is still present in some parts in the east.

The path leads us from Vaassen via Epe to Heerde and back. You can divided the path into three circles of a day's march. The trail is marked with yellow-green triangles. And there is a guidebook for sale with maps and background information.
