Wisconsin

Description

Wisconsin, in the north of the US, borders on the Great Lakes: Lake Michigan and Lake Superior. There are many more lakes in this state, and hiking is popular in the immense forests.

Wisconsin has its 1000 mile Ice Age Trail and a 155 mile segment of the North Country Trail.

The Chequamegon National Forest offers some good trails in between the glacial lakes and rivers.
