The Bonneville Shoreline Trail in Utah near the Salt Lake is 90 miles (140 km) long. The trail is for bikers (many) and hikers (some). It is planned to be 280 miles (451 km) long, and follows the eastern shoreline of the ancient but no longer existing Lake Bonneville. The trail continuously descends into and climbs out of canyons and ravines along what used to be the shore in a distant past.
