Of the many options to reach Santiago de Compostela, this is one that evades the Pyrenees by crossing the border at Hendaye - Irun from where it heads southwest to join the main Camino Francés in Santo Domingo de la Calzada. The route is better known by the name Tunnel Route.
Count 60 km extra when continuing to Burgos.
